{project laundry}

there's something about a well designed laundry space that makes folding mountains of clothes more enjoyable. wallpaper, a bold paint choice, or a few yards of fabric helps an otherwise bland utilitarian room {or closet} hold its own among the other rooms of the house.

i really like this lattice/quadrefoil wallpaper with rubbed black accents. also i am in love with the wall mounted drying racks...

vertical stripes and large windows provide grandeur...

romantic pink stripes soften industrial details and stainless steel counter top...

this hidden stacking unit may be more of our reality, especially if we end up in a baby bungalow (still no word! it's killing us!). love the heavy canvas curtains to hide a dirty clothes pile (definitely a reality if b is around)...

this little laundry closet might be my favorite. more curtains save space that a door would consume...

could easily add curtains to the doorway here. nice use of the neighboring wall for laundry accessories. though it might be a little too out in the open for me. either way, i love the aqua paint!

is it strange that i dream about having a big ol sink to go along with the laundry? i love how this laundry room adds the floral fabric and patterned rug to dress it up. though i would probably take both of those items anywhere in the house...

farmhouse sink in the laundry, anyone?

also, i couldn't help but share
apartment therapy's link to all things laundry.
