{a bungalow kitchen}

the kitchen in the [currently number one] dream-bungalow is going to present an interesting challenge. basic and blah are the first two words that come to mind so i've been looking at a lot of kitchen photos to get some ideas to better utilize the small space and to open up the kitchen to the living area.

though small, this california beach bungalow kitchen still feels open and bright. i especially like the color pallet, the window style and the tile floor.

this kitchen was designed by white house designer, michael smith. it has a similar layout to the potential dream bungalow, with an entrance in the right corner. love the painted floor with the white cabinets and seafoam tile.

this is likely how the dining table set up would work in the bungalow.

again with a dining table incorporated in the kitchen space.

i really like the subway tile and the plank ceiling.

here is another view of the same kitchen. if not a dining table, an island with a bar could also work between the den and kitchen areas. an island/bar area would add a lot more space for cabinets.

this kitchen amazes me. talk about an impressive use of a small space. i like the cookbook shelves in the corners that would be too small for cabinets.

pretty painted cabinets and way to have a stove top and separate ovens.

another way to incorporate two rooms with a bar area. i like the horseshoe shape of this kitchen. and also the herringbone tile pattern.
